Risks of motorsport to competitors are widely publicised and under race conditions the potential for roll-overs, collisions at high speed, pit lane fires, high velocity impact with speed traps and barriers are very much a reality. When these instances happen, members of Team Medical Australia are sent to respond.
Our volunteer members are a dedicated core of nurses, doctors, paramedics and drivers specialising in the provision of emergency medical care at motorsport events.
The values of our organisation are focused on actively encouraging our members to firstly support motorsport at all levels, not only as spectators but in the role of a valued volunteer medical team member to enable others to participate in their sport.
TMA is focused on team work, working together with all groups at motorsport events focusing on providing the best care for our patients and their families and supporting all those we come into contact with, with compassion and commitment to high standards of quality clinical trauma care.
